Hearts on Fire, Feet on the Move 4/4: Our Turn to Be Witnesses

Our Turn to Be Witnesses, by Sr. Leticia.

// Passages:
“In evangelisation, then, the example of a Christian life and the proclamation of Christ are inseparable. One is at the service of the other. They are the two lungs with which any community must breathe if it is to be missionary.
This complete, consistent, and joyful witness to Christ will surely be a force of attraction for the growth of the Church in the third millennium. I exhort everyone to take up once again the courage, frankness and parrhesia of the first Christians to bear witness to Christ in word and deed in every area of life.
(2022 Message for World Mission Sunday)

“When they had eaten, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon son of John, do you love me more than these others do?' He answered, 'Yes, Lord, you know I love you.' Jesus said to him, 'Feed my lambs.'

A second time he said to him, 'Simon, son of John, do you love me?' He replied, 'Yes, Lord, you know I love you.' Jesus said to him, 'Look after my sheep.'

Then he said to him a third time, 'Simon, son of John, do you love me?' Peter was hurt that he asked him a third time, 'Do you love me?' and said, 'Lord, you know everything; you know I love you.' Jesus said to him, 'Feed my sheep.”
