Catholic families, in this age and time, are called to be signs of love and faithfulness they, as parents, spouses, children, are called to be missionaries who go out and share God’s love, firstly among themselves, and with those around them. Christian parents have the key mission to bring each other and their children to God. Prayer is a key foundation in every family. As the saying goes, “The family that prays together stays together”. Praying with the Word of God as a family is a way to listen to the voice of God and allow Him to be the One to guide the family. In this journey of faith, couples need the help and support of other Catholic couples. Moreover, children are never too young to participate in a faith community where they can have friends to journey with them. Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity has the following prayer sessions with the Word for:

The Verbum Dei Missionaries had organised the first ever Family Time Out retreat held from 6-8 Sep 2019 in a nearby resort, The Grandeur Palm Resort in Senai, Johore Bahru. Themed ‘Family - A Treasure to be Discovered’. The weekend retreat was organised for families to pray, play and have fun together.
